On The Valentine's Day, February 14th there was an opening reception for my solo photography exhibition Towards Light - Mystic Landscapes, at the Museum of Photography in my hometown Bydgoszcz. The event gathering quite a number of photography lovers, other recognized photographers, with over 50 works on show and additional works slideshow display was received very warm. Many people expressed their admiration for this kind of photography, revealing inner emotions born from direct contact with nature. As the photographs presented on the exhibition showed the spots known in my city, people were very surprised not recognizing them. They were curious where exactly I did the shots.

The exhibition will be on display for a whole month up to March, 14th.

One of Polish local newspapers, Gazeta Pomorska, which is released in my hometown Bydgoszcz, published an article about me on September 17th. This is an article both about my this year International Photography Awards in USA and about my creative work. I have received two Honorable Mention Awards for two series of works. One of them depicts well-known a place in the city. This is our local landmark, Ostromecko Palace surrounded by a beautiful, Italian style garden. The major image (the photo below) from this series has been published along with the article.

Path and Seasons two series of 5 works each, submitted to this year International Photography Awards  were awarded with Honorable Mention award. Path was submitted in Non-pro Fine Art Landscape category and Seasons in Non-pro Nature Trees category. This very special 10-Year Anniversary Edition of the competition attracted more than ever photographers from all over the world submitting 10 000 works. The jury panel comprised of over 80 international photography professionals.

For me personally, this award is just a nice and important moment in photographer's life when I know that my photographic work as well as the message I want to convey by means of my creative work is recognized by other people.

Below there are displayed both series and certificates I have received for both of them

I have recently given an interview about my art to Elinor Mavor, the US based freelance artist, illustrator and editor at MavorArts. After a slightly more than two years since I turned to digital photography this interview is a good opportunity for reflection on my achievements so far.
Along with my fine art photography, the editor included some of my poems into the interview.
